Chosen for Purpose
Greetings and good day to everyone, I hope everyone is doing well. Well, I have a wonderful story to share today that makes me feel even more fortunate and thankful for everything I did in 2019.
Before that korang, Saya lupa nak bagitahu bahawa saya akan mengemaskini maklumat Ataupun perkongsian saya di laman blog saya mengikut jadual “sekali seminggu” atas Urusan kerja dan sebab- sebab tertentu maka saya memohon jasa baik tuan/ puan untuk sabar menantikan segala luahan perasaan saya.
Okay let’s get into my sharing!!
On 17th April 2025 around 11.30 a.m. at High court Seremban for case analysis with my coworker( lawyers) as they had a case on 39B Akta Dadah Berbahaya 1952 due to the accused involve in drug activities. As instructed by my boss, I was there to gather information for my ongoing investigation and to bolster my colleague's case. The moment my coworker and I leave for lunch at the cafeteria. When I was a university student in 2019, I got to know one of my fellow students, "sejarah," whom I teach. And while I was genuinely shocked to see him in the courtroom, I was also wondering why he was there. I start by asking him, "Can I know why you are here?" without wasting any more time. "Is everything good?" He then told me that he and his senior attorney had their second case today. I questioned him, "So that means you're practicing and in pupilage?" "Yes, he was called for bar last year 2024," he added. Since his mother is a single mother and they are genuinely impoverished, I used to teach him for free, so I must admit that I was very glad for him.
I therefore made the decision to spend some time getting to know him. Normally, I don't do this, but for some reason, I felt compelled to learn about his background, and the greatest part is that he was once one of my students. Due to our extreme physical and emotional exhaustion, I chose to stay there instead of returning home and booked an accommodation. Coincidentally, my teammate followed suit. "Let's catch for dinner later," I said to him. He also "agreed." So I start to survey restaurant or cafe nearby on my Soc Med. and I got this one which is The Big 8 Steak House. So I double check with him and confirm my reservation for dinner.
Around 7:20 p.m. that same day, at The Big 8 Steak House. I parked my car inside and walked to the table I had previously scheduled because it was windy and the restaurant was really elegant and comfortable. I look at their best-selling items on menu cards as I wait for him. He came at precisely 7:32 p.m., so I immediately struck up a discussion about his academic background and path to becoming a lawyer. He thus revealed absolutely everything, which completely shocked me. He did say that he first became interested in becoming a lawyer after seeing me. To be honest, I was just grinning, but deep down I was grateful that I had been able to form him into the person he is today. Guys, did you know that he was accepted to University Malaya (UM) on a Yayasan Tunku Abdul Rahman (YTAR) scholarship after receiving 6As in his Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) batch 2019? which astounded me with all of his accomplishments while being modest.
I then enquired about his mother because I had previously been close to her but had to give up my time for my clients because of my busy schedule. He contacted his mother, handed me the phone, and we were able to speak over FaceTime. She invited me to the house and was thrilled to meet me digitally. We started talking about some recent cases, professional partners, and other topics after I was thrilled to meet him at this stage. He is an expert in marital and family law matters. so that he may also give me some notes. We talked about cases while consume food for a few hours, so I asked him about his father. He then revealed to me that "HIS DAD IS IN PRISON." I assumed he was kidding, but when he revealed on the news page that his father had been apprehended by police in 2013, I was left stunned.
Sincerely, I think that everything occurs for a reason. However, this storyline twist in his story caught me off guard. So, with his consent, I start hearing about all of his trauma, grief, and misery.
He claimed that after getting involved and abusing drugs, his father had gotten much worse. In addition, he claimed that when he was ten years old, he gave his father's friends the "thing" with the "sweet transparent packet cover" in exchange for a certain sum of money (basically, he taught him how to drug runner). He was unaware at the time that the "things" he was passing were actually drugs.
When he was eleven years old in 2013, he returned from school to find his house open and messy. He asked his neighbours, who said, "Police, catch your father." He waited for his mother to return from work and told her.
He added that he had been spending his "childhood" at Penjara Sungai Buloh with his mother and going to court to see his father.
Ahhhh nak sangat tahukan, jom kita meneliti Kes ayah dia. Peringatan, saya tidak akan menyebarkan maklumat dan data peribadi atas unsur keselamatan, harmoni dan keperibadian keluarga mereka.
On 2013 the accused been caught at his residential area with a total of 2 kilograms in weight of Cannabis and cannabis resin and 73 grammes in weight of 3, 4, 5-Trimethoxyamphetamine (3, 4, 5-TMA) a type of dangerous drugs.
Upon the accused conduct and he accepted his action The Majistret back then given judgement for the accused as commits conduct as specified under section 2 of the Dangerous Drugs Act which states “drug trafficking” includes committing any of these acts, namely, disappearing, importing, exporting, storing, concealing, buying, selling, giving, receiving, depositing, handling, transporting, carrying, sending, sending, attempting to obtain, supplying or distributing any dangerous drug or in any other manner under the enforcement of this Act. Notably, the perpetrator been considered a drug dealer and charged and sentenced to 30 years in prison and 13 strokes of the cane according to section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
I felt awful for him because he had experienced such unjust conditions at such a young age, but when I saw him now as a "lawyer," I saw the purpose, and I firmly believe that God has selected him to be in this framework. Above all, he never forgot his "Root," or his origins. He expressed gratitude to me for the time I spent teaching him and helping him and his mother in those days.
To be honest, I had no idea that this child had experienced such severe conditions because I'm not the type to delve into people's personal lives. But knowing that God used my knowledge to help people who genuinely wanted to be someone and overcome their obstacles in life made me feel incredibly valued, thankful, fortunate, and at peace. I was happy to see the results of an act of kindness in 2025 which I performed in 2019
His father is still being punished, but he claimed that when he and his mother visit him today, they can see many improvements in him, and his father did understand this once his son started college. I still find it hard to believe, but for me, this is a really wonderful moment.
So with a joyful and grateful heart, we decided to make a move with some Tapau for my coworker at hotel there. Talking about the food, guys you should try food here. It’s give me some fancy village vibes with great portions along with affordable price. Initially this should be my treat but guess what he paid for the food cost. I denied at first but he said “ This is nothing for what you have done for me back then “. Then to be fair and square, I treated him some drink at nearby Starbucks drive-thru because ORANG BERBUDI KITA BERBAHASA.
Kindness is like sunshine for the heart, I thought after returning to the hotel. It all comes down to treating people with kindness and taking small actions to brighten their day. Kindness is a universal language, whether it takes the form of a smile, a kind word, or lending a helping hand to someone in need. Being courteous isn't enough you also need to demonstrate understanding and sensitivity. Being kind to others makes them feel good and encourages them to be kind as well. One tiny deed at a time, this straightforward yet potent force has the ability to transform the entire planet. In order to make the world a better and warmer place for everyone, let's spread kindness like confetti!
Lebihkan Kebaikan, Jauhi kesalahan jenayah dan Jangan kena tangkap!
