WHERE I MET DRUG ADDICT

 Good day and hello to everyone. I hope you're doing great. I'd like to speak about an experience that occurred to me so I would like to named it as “ WHERE I MET DRUG ADDICT ”. Let’s get into details of circumstances. 


On 6th April 2025 [Sunday] at 6.15 pm venue Bukit Gasing, Petaling Jaya near to Menara BAC ( Brickfield Asia College), We planned to arrive at the venue by 6:45 p.m., so I drove from Kajang to BAC to attend a program that my friend had formally asked me to.

Since I got there earlier at 5:58 p.m., I had planned to fill up my car with petrol as it was running low and I was rushing to the gas station, namely "Shell." When I got there, I started filling up and stopped for a snack at the station, when I saw a guy riding a bike, wearing a helmet, and wearing a jacket.

As soon as I got to my car with my snacks, I noticed a man chatting to a stranger( victim) who was in Bezza's car and this man standing outside the car at a close distance. I took the decision to leave the station after seeing it, but my inner self eventually made me are aware of. I was searching for Menara BAC as soon as I left the station, but I became so convinced that I lost my way that I decided to look at Waze since I was having trouble figuring out where I was. I then began to follow and excitedly await my destination after receiving an alternative route from Waze.

Then I saw this Guy again at the road side with his bike, so I looked at him while the Guy looks and smile awkward and I ignored and focus on my ride because only I know that I’m committing some act which can jeopardise my driving license by driving while seeing phone without any phone holder with me.  based on Rule 17A in the Road Traffic Rules 1959, using a Mobile phone while driving is prohibited unless it is used with a holder or hands- free device. 

A few seconds later, I noticed that he had followed my car from the intersection where I had first seen him, so I made the decision to pull over as it was clear that he was attempting to stop me as well. He stopped directly next to my left side as soon as I pulled over, and I eventually lower my window to a very minimal level so that his voice was the only thing I could hear.

He was quite curious and unsettling, asking me why I had just looked at him while examining every inch of my car. Because of the way he spoke, I was able to determine that he was not in a good state of mind. When I questioned him about why he was following me, he began to babble, but he continued to notice everything in my car, so I began to capture pictures of him using his bike for future use.

After three minutes, I observed a police car (an assigned duty police car) circling the area. It stopped behind my car, and the man, with his naive expression, fled the scene in one direction. Since the police were unable to apprehend him, they asked me "why, what happened encik?" and proceeded to request my identification card (IC), driver's license, and vehicle for their official purposes. FYI: before you want to pass your IC and driving license, you also have a rights to ask “KAD KUASA” based on police regulations (39) 1952. But in the above incident I didn’t implement as the police officer on their uniform. 

After everything clear, the police asked regarding the guy and why did I stopped my car there. Then I let them know the incident to them regarding my purpose I’m there and why I stopped, purely because of that Guy. So police receive a complaint on this Guy from the stranger in bezza car just now which I saw at Shell Station, been victim of Sexual Harassment with verbally by this Guy. FYI: Section 509 of the Penal Code where it is an offence if a person “ insults the honour of another by uttering any word, making any sound or gesture or showing any thing”.

I was taken aback to hear the police officer's verdict and gave them the guy's photo and the one I took of his bike so they could look into it further. In order for the authorities to obtain more proof from the register traffic light stand camera, I also specified the traffic lights that I had past. Then I made police report at IPD Petaling jaya (upon my father request) and pass my contact card to the authority for investigation purpose. Also, the authority agreed with me that he must be not in stable state of mind and might consume drug.

Once everything was finished, the police obtained my information, which showed that I was in authorised line. While I waited for my best friends to arrive, we engaged in small talk at Kapitan Petaling Jaya, which is close to MBPJ Tower.

In light of the aforementioned situation, I want to remind you (whoever is reading this) to exercise caution wherever you are, including when driving. You can't predict when and how you will be a victim, so be extra careful about your safety and get a better dash cam.
